Purpose

Function to return absolute value


Syntax

ABS(<expN>)

Description

The ABS() function returns the absolute value of the numeric expression <expN>.


Example

? abs(-1)
         1
? abs(-5.6)
       5.6
? abs(2.5)
       2.5
